Time outs are ruining me...

The last week its been VERY BAD! I've muscled through the every ten second distraction on a pair of puzzles, only for it not to refresh at the end; the really awful part is then the site won't load at all for me until I close and reopen my safari.

You are not the only one complaining regularly. vulcan has publicly quit because of these time outs and rejects. I will not be renewing my premium membership next month and there are many more feeling/have felt the same. When I joined there were over 700 players regularly registered on the scoreboard - now there are less than 450 - says it all!

How come I don't experience this when I played some games using different browsers (Firefox8/ IE9/ Opera/ G.Chrome and Safari)?

Nevertheless, maybe there are some timeouts from time to time. I will mention this to the webmaster but please do not leave our own ISP's out if it is only us experiencing the time outs while the other players in the game are playing without experiencing it.

I do not experience time out. I use Firefox.

OK, achilles I accept your point - to a degree. However, it is well known in the UK that if you do not live in a city or at least a medium sized town you are ignored by the Government and treated as second class citizens but the big Utility Firms etc. Which is why I cannot even get as much as a 2 in broadband speeds.
Because of this, I get repeated timeouts and rejections, and so play an awful lot of pracxtice games - where i NEVER experience time outs or rejects!!!
Do I assume that because my broadband speed is so low in comparision to almost everyone else's, your server constantly misses me 'knocking at the door'?
Because I can think of no other reason why I should never have a timeout playing alone, yet ALWAYS have several timeouts when playing competatively!!

beagle, have you tried to play a game using a different computer with a different ISP? Have you also checked your computer cables if they are all properly connected? I'm just trying to help here and maybe isolate the issue.

I have already informed the webmaster to look into this.

So far, the only time outs I get is my mind when I play a game.

I believe my timeouts are sometimes related to our mifi, though they did happen with the hughes system too when we used it.
