2 - String Kyte

Code: Select all
/  N  / | / N / | / / /
N  .  . | . . . | . . .
/  .  . | . . . | . . .
--------+-------+-------
/  .  . | . . . | . . .
N  .  . | . X . | . . .
/  .  . | . . . | . . .
--------+-------+-------
/ .  .  | . . . | . . .
/  .  . | . . . | . . .
/  .  . | . . . | . . .

KEY: '/' <=> cells void of candidate 'N'
'N' <=> cells with candidate 'N'; all are required
"-X" <=> potential eliminations of candidate 'N'

the idea is N digit linked on a row and column intersecting in a common box
where placement of either digit in the box @ N casues x to be eliminated.

a 2-string kyte can be extend further as in this example.

the box can have an extra candidate
on the row and column but not in the intersecting corner cell.

one or both # can be a candidate of N.

the elimination remains the same.

Code: Select all
/  N  # | / N / | / / /
N  .  . | . . . | . . .
#  .  . | . . . | . . .
--------+-------+-------
/  .  . | . . . | . . .
N  .  . | . X . | . . .
/  .  . | . . . | . . .
--------+-------+-------
/ .  .  | . . . | . . .
/  .  . | . . . | . . .
/  .  . | . . . | . . .
